Endeavour Class: Term 1, Week 5
We had such a busy week last week - we did a lot of creative writing; remembering the devices we use to make our writing as descriptive as possible. We also saw KS2 children enter the Stoke Row cross country event; I was lucky enough to attend with the children and witness their incredible determination to not only complete the course, but compete to a high standard. Well done to all competitors!

This week will also be a rather busy one! We will be exploring poetry, right in time for National Poetry day on Thursday. The theme this year is 'environment'. We will be attempting to write our own poetry to share both in class and for the children to take home. We also have an exciting trip to Henley Literary Festival on Friday! We will learn all about The Lost Whale by Hannah Gold and the children will leave with their very own copy of the book!
The children did a fantastic job at ensuring their homework was completed and handed in on time - thank you for any support given at home, I really do appreciate it. The children are also very pleased and proud to hand it in.
Mental Arithmetic is to be handed in on Wednesday and English Skills to be handed in on Thursday. Spellings are tested on Thursday too.
As ever, if you have any questions or queries, please do get in touch.
Best wishes,
Mrs Burbedge
