Endeavour Class: Term 1, Week 4
Our writing last week consisted of some interesting learning around 'biomes'. The children did some research around a specific biome then collaborated with others in the class to produce a PowerPoint presentation, they then presented their findings to the rest of the class. The children did brilliantly!! They really enjoyed watching each other present too.

This week we turn our attention to extreme weather in geography. We will explore some of the more extreme weather we have experienced in our country as well as look further afield and examine weather experiences in other countries. We will hold discussions about thoughts on whether this is linked to global warming.
In our writing lessons this week, I will be challenging the children to write a descriptive story ending which will be based on an extreme weather event. This is our first creative writing task and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the children can create!
We have our School Council speeches and elections tomorrow so we will be announcing new councillors tomorrow in assembly.
Just a gentle reminder that Mental Arithmetic homework is due in on Wednesday, please do encourage your child to come and speak to me before then if they have any problems completing it.
English Skills homework to be handed in on Thursday morning.
Have a wonderful week!
