Endeavour Class: Term 1, Week 2
We had a wonderful start to the term last week - we had some assessment but we managed to squeeze in some lovely creative writing about autumn as well as give those who wished to, the chance to write their Eco Council speeches. A huge well done to all those that gave a speech to the class and congratulations to Annabel and Rosie who will be our Eco representatives this year.

This week, we will turn our attention to persuasive writing and will be writing some persuasive letters to parents in an attempt to encourage more environmentally friendly practises at home - with the children's help of course!
Children don't have homework this week but they do have spellings to practise for Thursday, please do encourage your child is to do this, though they know that it is their responsibility. It really helps their writing and affects their confidence considerably. Spellings won't be on the website due to many different groups so please look for these in planners.
I know that it has only been 4 days but many of the children have not been bringing in a snack, particularly if they have a hot lunch, which means that they are really hungry and find it tricky to concentrate before lunch. I would be grateful if you could provide a piece of fruit or a healthy snack for break time; if you are finding difficulty in doing this, please do let me know, I am only too happy to help.
As the weather is turning a little with autumn around the corner, please ensure your child either brings a waterproof or has one in their back in case of showers during break times. We encourage the children to play outside in most weathers but if it is raining and they don't have a coat, they won't be able to be outside.
As ever, if you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me, either through the class email or via the office (for more immediate issues).
Have a great week!
