Dear Parents and Carers,
This term seems to have sped by and we only have this week before we break up for the Christmas holidays at 1.30 p.m. on Friday.
Nevertheless, we are having some seasonal fun activities to look forward to, as well as completing our topic work , marking homework and finishing any assessments. Spellings are continuing as well as English and maths homework - this week it is Section 2, Test 1 in the books.
On Tuesday is our Christmas dinner day with a Christmas party time and wearing a Christmas jumper. It will be a really exciting day with lots to do. Don't forget that Forest School is happening for Y5 as normal - so please remember to bring in a change of clothes.
On Wednesday evening at 6 pm is the Upper School's Christmas Concert. We have been practising singing a variety of festive carols, so it is an opportunity for the children to show what they have been doing and inviting parents to sing along with some of our traditional carols as well. An email with more details about the evening has been sent out from the class email address. Please let me know by email if you or your child is unable to attend.
Thursday is the Star of the Term assembly and will be available to watch via Zoom. An invite will be sent out closer to the day. The Christmas hamper raffle will be drawn at the end.
Friday is the last day of term and we will be finishing at 1.30 p.m. Please wear P.E. kit as normal.
It just remains for me to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year - have a restful break and a wonderful time. with your families.
Term 3 starts in the new year on the 5th January.
