Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we are looking at harvest in our topic work . Why do we celebrate harvest and what traditions do we have in our country? We will be looking at harvest from other faiths and thinking about how we can use the produce that we grow!
This week is the second of the two Buddy Introduction assemblies on Friday. The Year 6s have been busy writing and preparing for this as they introduce their new Buddies to the rest of the school. Last Friday was lovely as all the children stood at the front of the school while they were being introduced. If your child is in Year 6, you will already have been sent an email with details about this.
In maths we are consolidating multiplication as we start to learn about short division. The knowledge of times tables is really important, especially in using division, so please encourage your child to practice a little every day. Don't forget they have a login to Times Times Rocks Stars.
Reminders: P.E. days are Tuesday and Friday for Year 6. Forest School for Year 5s is on Tuesday and P.E. is on Friday.
Homework has been given out for Maths and English - this week Section 1 Test 5 is due in on the appropriate day. Your child will have brought a book home for each subject. Maths is due in on Wednesday, English Skills is due in on Thursday. Please see below the links for the letter and for the current spellings.
