Dear Parents and Carers,
This week in English we are writing a non- chronological report about the different types of trees we have in our countryside. We will be looking how to identify them and write about the different characteristics. Because of this, we plan to walk over to the Common in the village and see the different trees and examine their growth and leaves in more detail. Please see the separate email with more information.
In maths we are moving onto addition and subtraction and using our place value knowledge in problems and different contexts.
In science, we will studying trees and knowing how to classify and identify them from their particular characteristics.
I hope you have seen the curriculum letter and noted the weekly information. P.E. days are Tuesday and Friday for Year 6. Forest School for Year 5s is on Tuesday and P.E. is on Friday.
Homework has been given out for Maths and English - this week Section 1 Test 2 is due in on the appropriate day. Your child will have brought a book home for each subject. Maths is due in on Wednesday, English Skills is due in on Thursday. Please see below the links for the letter and for the current spellings.
