Challenger Class, Term 1, Week 7

Science

This week is science week! The children will explore some of the things that happen in each season. This will include learning about different types of weather and how to associate types of weather with particular seasons.

Writing

This week we are going to write instructions on how to make Halloween themed potions.

Phonic/Reading

This week’s spellings are on the sound ‘oy’.

We are reading Shared reader 37 ‘Oysters Ahoy’.

Maths

We will continue the unit on Addition & Subtraction. This week the children will learn to use number bonds within 10, add together and addition problems.

Event

KS1 cross country event is on Monday, please send children into school in PE kits.
