The launch of the topic 'The British Isles' was met with interest and enthusiasm by the class. We have looked at maps, labelled the countries and learnt about the colours associated with each country. It was great fun for the children to choose one of these colours for making playdough. They have enjoyed rolling and manipulating their own playdough into shapes, using their hands and cutters.
The buddy session was spent sharing experiences and drawing objects.
In the coming week we will focus on the country of Wales, St David, the Welsh flag and the daffodil symbol.
Maths will be about shapes and more addition. The frog addition from last week was put on a display.

In phonics we will be looking at rhyming words, the patterns and this will help with reading words and using the patterns in writing.
