What a great start of term Adventure children have had! So many fun activities and great learning has been part of our week.
This terms topic is "Global Citizenship" where we will be learning about the 7 continents. This weeks continent was Africa, and Adventure children have learned lots about their cultures, facts about Africa and many more things.
In Arts we have designed our own African neckless with lovely patterns! We have used this item to pretend that we were on an African Safari and did some lovely writing and presented it to the rest of the class.
In Phonics we have introduced "ue" sounds, and tricky words like "could" "people and "looked" they are part of our Phonics display.
In Maths we have started to use a great resource... rekenrek. This will help children's key skills to develop and subitise (recognising small numbers without counting).
In music we have learned some African dances and even how to play African drums!
Have a great weekend everybody!
