Adventure class. Term 3. Week 4

What a great week Adventure class have had! We are still learning about Hot and Cold, specially in this cold week we had to be more focused on Cold! We read the book Winnie and Wilbur in Winter and got to do our first word search even with tricky words about the book.

In Arts we have created our Snowman using our best cutting skills and different materials. This is a great opportunity to do some more writing and label the things we put on our snowman!

In Phonics this week was another consolidation week, where we introduced a new book about Sock Shopping that gave us a lot to talk about... Do you go clothes shopping? Who do you go with? Do you enjoy it? Why does Sam need to go shopping? Does he find what he needs? How many shops do they visit? Even Adventure children had a go to create their own questions to trick the teachers!

In PSHE we have been talking about how everyone is special, and encouraged them to celebrate that everyone is unique. Next week we will be talking about our family and different types of family, please can you send a picture of your family so that we can talk about it. You can send it to the Adventure email.

In Maths we have began to explore 6 and 7 as numbers are composed of "5 and a bit".

This week the Book Fairy came to Adventure class! She made a bit of a mess taking books out the shelf but left a message apologising, this was to help us to put the books back into categories, she even made us some labels to help. Also we are looking into improving our Reading Area so we are looking for a small sofa, if you have 1 or know someone that is looking to give it away, can you please let us know.
