It is with great pleasure and pride that I can share the news that Nettlebed School has been awarded Recognised Provider status by the Forest School Association. This award demonstrates Nettlebed’s commitment to, and passion for delivering quality and professional Forest School sessions.
Forest School is a unique ethos that is underpinned by 6 core principles which include risk taking, child led learning, developing wellbeing and skilled qualified leaders. The principles make it a unique and essential part of our outdoor learning curriculum at Nettlebed and we have seen all participating children thrive in their own ways over the past year.
The recognition from the FSA is testament to the hard work and commitment from our Forest School Leaders, and the school staff involved in the sessions. We are currently the only primary school in South Oxfordshire that have this recognition (and 1 of 14 in the country) so it really is a great achievement.
A huge thanks goes to FONS for the continued support and enabling us to provide Forest School.
