Football, Football and HYF Run
It has been a busy week with two Year 5/6 Football tournaments and the HYF Run.

Girls' Football
Congratulations to the the Y5/6 Girls team who played so well at the South Final last Thursday at St Birinus. After an initial defeat by the eventual winners the girls picked themselves up and went on to achieve a win and some very close matches. They showed some impressive skills, scored plenty of goals. Special mention goes to Ana (Year 4) who stepped up to play at the last minute against girls who were two years older and considerably taller! Also, huge congratulations to Anna (Year 5) who saved so many goals. Nettlebed came 5th but have qualified and will play in the large schools County Shield on 1st April.
Boys' Football
Both teams played well at Langtree on Thursday and gave a good account of themselves against some tough opposition. The A team played really well in the first game, winning 6-0. Josh and Olly both scored hat tricks. In the second game they didn't play as well and lost 2-1. In the last game they played really well against a very good team but lost 3-0 against Goring A. Well done to both teams and special congratulations to Sean and Lewis who were awarded Olympic value medals for excellent teamwork and conduct on and off the pitch.
HYF Physiolistic Run
Sixteen Nettlebed runners took to the fields on a beautiful Saturday morning at Swiss Farm. Our younger runners turned out in force to represent their school. They had a lovely time, ran with smiles on their faces and were still smiling when they finished!
Our KS2 runners also did a great job on a very tough course - there are some mean hills on this one - and also finished their races smiling. Well done to everyone and a special mention to Bridget who managed a very convincing and well-deserved 1st place.
