Schools' Challenge and Langtree Cross Country

The sun was shining for most of the afternoon at the Langtree cross country event last week where more than 30 runners from Nettlebed took part. The team did a great job finishing 4th overall. The Y5/6 Boys came 2nd and the Y5/6 Girls came 3rd in the team events. Well done to all of our fantastic runners and especially well done to Adam and Edward Q who received the Olympic Value medals for their excellent effort and attitude during the event.

On Sunday 13th October Nettlebed runners and lots of their parents took part in the Virgin Schools' Challenge. They ran the final mile of their half marathon on the day having spent the summer clocking up the first 12 miles. Many thanks to Mrs Lonsdale and to all of the parents for running with the children. As you can see from the photos, it was just a little wet but I don't think their spirits were dampened too much; it was a great way to spend the morning!
