Cross Country Running News - Langtree and Chiltern Edge Races

This week has seen two cross country events and Nettlebed runners did a great job as usual.

At Langtree on Thursday the rain held off as 19 runners took to the playing fields. Conditions underfoot were a little slippery but we put in some solid performances allowing the team to maintain their fourth overall in the series position. The Y3/4 Girls were 3rd in the team event. The Olympic Value medal went to Stanley for his excellent attitude showing great support for his team mates.

At Chiltern Edge on Saturday eleven Nettlebed runners took part, winning two golds, 1 bronze and a 2nd place in the team event for Year 3 Girls. Our Year 5 boys were the only school who managed to put out a team and so came first by default. It was a strong performance by those three dedicated runners anyway.
