Term 1 so far...Cross Country Running and Girls' Football
Our Year 5/6 Girls came a commendable 4th against tough opposition at the Woodcote Partnership tournament at the end of September. Well done to Millie, Amelie, Bella, Evie L, Anna and Olivia.
Cross Country Running
Greys Court 15.9.18
Nettlebed gave some very strong performances in the first race of the season. Silver medals to Bridget and Millie.
Stoke Row 4.10.18
Our 24 runners did a great job at Stoke Row which often proves to be the toughest course in the Woodcote Partnership series. The Olympic Value medal went to Freddie Carter for Determination. A fantastic effort from everyone meant that Team Nettlebed came a convincing 4th overall. Well deserved third place medals to Bridget and Olly both running alongside older children.
Maiden Erlegh - Chiltern Edge 6.10.18
It was cold and wet but that didn't deter the fourteen intrepid runners who turned out on Saturday morning in the first Maiden Erlegh-Chiltern Edge race of the season. Five runners made it to the podium, two girls ran for the first time and we managed to turn out full teams in three of the races. Well done Nettlebed - it's going to be a GREAT season!
Millie and Eloise (running with the Year 1 Girls ran in their first races at Chiltern Edge and I think they enjoyed it. They certainly finished their races smiling.
Olly, Millie and Bridget came 1st in their races, Isolde came 2nd and Freddie came 3rd. There were impressively low team scores for Y2 Boys, Y3 Girls and Y5 Boys.
NEXT RACE: SATURDAY 3rd NOVEMBER
