The whole school topic is proving to be very thought provoking and creating lots of discussions. The children have covered many topics so far including dreaming, artificial intelligence and what the different parts of our brain control. This week we had a visitor from the Lookout Centre in Bracknell who showed us lots of ways we can trick our brain as well AS how to test it and make sure we keep it healthy.

The children of Nettlebed have been extremely busy in many extra-curricular activities the past few weeks which they have relished and shown the Nettlebed way of Reaching up and Reaching Out.

Our Year 5 mathematicians attended a maths challenge afternoon held at Rupert House and competed against other local schools. The four children were fantastic and tackled problems with enthusiasm and determination. They were a credit to the school.

We have had a really busy two weeks at Nettlebed and I have so many ‘thank yous’ to share.

Harvest festival was full of different and exciting events. Thank all so much to those of you who bought in donations for the foodbank in Henley.

We also gave a small donation to the local senior citizens as well. Some of the year 6s and I visited the centre where the food parcels are assembled which was fascinating. They then shared their experiences with the rest of the school which you can read on the next page.
